State secretary Levente Magyar has said Hungarian-British economic ties could strengthen now that the UK has left the European Union.
According to MTI, Magyar said Brexit has deprived Hungary of one of its allies in the EU but ties will remain strong between the two nations.
The ministry of foreign affairs and trade official made the statements while attending an event announcing an investment by international payroll company iiPay in Budapest, a company set up in the UK.
Magyar said the government’s expectations are confirmed by the expansion of iiPay in Hungary. The company has made a quick decision to develop a new hub in Budapest which shows that investors have a trust in the further growth of Hungary’s economy.
