Rock band AWS will represent Hungary in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday, it has been confirmed.
The band performed in Lisbon, Portugal, last night and made through a tough semi-final round. They are hoping to bring home the title for the very first time over the weekend.
Their song “Viszlát Nyár” proved a big hit with television audiences and critics are already tipping the song to do well this year.
AWS was founded in 2006, and consists of five members: Dániel Kökényes, Áron Veress, Örs Siklósi, Bence Brucker, and Soma Schiszler.
The grand finale will take place this Saturday, May 12th at 9pm CET.
A total of 26 countries will be performing and local audiences and a judging panel will vote for their winners.
