Hungary has signed an agreement to host the ITU Telecom World conference.
State secretary Péter Sztáray and Houlin Zhao, the head of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), signed the agreement on Monday after the Hungarian government agreed to host the prestigious event.
Sztáray said the number of participants — 5,000-6,000 business representatives from 130 countries — indicated the significance of the event worldwide and the importance of holding it in Hungary.
According to MTI, the conference will be held at Budapest’s Hungexpo fair grounds from September 9th to 12th, together with an exhibition linked to the event. Hungarians will be able to visit the exhibition free of charge.
