The quarter-final, semi-final and final of the Champions League of the Ligue Européenne de Natation -- or LEN -- will take place at the Danube Arena over the next few days, May 25th to 27th.
During the course of this event, the official opening ceremony of the Danube Arena will also take place at 2.30 pm on Saturday, May 27th.
The world's top male polo players will fight it out to take the title in a traditional six-group tournament. The tournament will be the first international event held at the Danube Arena, the official venue of the swimming and diving events of the 17th FINA World Championships.
Although the water polo tournament at the 17th FINA World Championships will be held in the Hajós Alfréd Swimming Stadium, the LEN Champions League will showcase what the Danube Arena can deliver during other events at the FINA swimming event.
The Final Six at LEN feature: Hungarian, Italian, Serbian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Spanish and Greek national teams, and is an important practice session in preparation for the FINA event.
Organizers expect more than 15,000 visitors during the three-day LEN Final Six tournament at the Danube Arena over the next few days.
