More than 10,000 people braved the cold to attend renowned Italian composer Ennio Morricone's Budapest concert on January 23rd, proving interest in the old master's art shows no signs of diminishing.
According to Rmx.news, Morricone has recently embarked on what is supposed to be his last tour at the helm of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, originally with performances in Saint Petersburg, Paris, London, Krakow, Prague, Budapest and several Italian cities.
But in response to the great turnout and calls for more shows, the number of Italian concerts has been doubled and several new venues have been added to the world tour.
Morricone is arguably one of the greatest film score composers of all time, writing more than 500 scores for cinema and television and over 100 classical works. In 2015, Morricone received his first Academy Award for Best Motion Picture Score in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight - his first win after many nominations.
