A new research initiative has been set up to encourage international cooperation between scientists.
The European Research Infrastructure Consortium will launch in January 2020. Set up by László Palkovics, the Minister for Innovation and Technology and Karel Havlícek, Czech Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, the new initiative will bring together scientists from Hungary, the Czech Republic and wider Europe.
Aimed at providing a world-class environment for researchers working in the field of biology, physics and chemistry, the ERIC will encourage knowledge sharing, new collaborations while also offering better opportunities. As such, Palkovics and Havlícek expect Italian, German, French and British experts to express their interest in joining the new scheme.
