Sándor Czomba, the state secretary for employment policy, said on Wednesday that the number of jobseekers in Hungary stood at 232,348 in February, down by more than 3,000 from the same month a year earlier.
Citing data from the National Employment Service (NFSZ, Czomba said the February figure was the lowest for the month in more than three decades.
Around 30,000 jobseekers have found work as the result of recently launched European Union-funded government placement programs, Czomba said.
