Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced that it will open a technology center in Budapest.
According to Rmx.news, the aim of the center is to strengthen OUP's technological capabilities, contribute to digital developments and support the publisher's global IT infrastructure.
The company said it chose Budapest on account of its highly trained and talented professionals. OUP has already begun recruitment in Hungary, mainly looking for IT staff for cloud-based technologies, programming and software development.
OUP - established in 1856 - has 50 offices around the world, including Budapest. It is the publisher of prestigious books such as the Oxford English Dictionary, various history books, Bibles, atlases and language textbooks.
