Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has addressed the Hungarian Jewish community on the eve of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights celebrations.
“This time around as we witness short winter days and long nights we shall feel grateful in our hearts for all we have. It teaches us to value as the greatest gift the opportunity that we can solemnly celebrate Hanukkah following the tradition of our ancestors together with our fellow community members and with our families,” PM Orbán wrote in a letter addressed to all of Hungary’s Jewish organizations.
“As in the previous years, I wish you this time again that the light of the Hanukkah candles remind you of the eternal power that holds a community together,” he added.
