The VéNégy Festival (Visegrad Four) and Theater Meeting will offer a mix of programs including theater and music productions, workshops, film screenings, art exhibitions and folk dance shows in Nagymaros, in northern Hungary, on June 22-25.
Organizer Domonkos Márk Kiss said the festival has become the largest such event in the Danube Bend region over the past ten years and will feature over 100 programs on eight stages. The line-up for concerts includes the Dutch supergroup Kraak&Smaak and soul diva Sharon Kovacs, Austria’s upcoming group Cari Cari, Slovakia’s Lash&Grey, Poland’s Ina West, Czechia’s Kill The Dandies! and Hungary’s all popular Halott Pénz and the Bagossy Brothers group. On the theater scene, the world-renowned Polish company Song of the Goat will return to the VéNégy stage by performing a rock-opera version of Sophocles’ Antigone. In a highlight event another Polish act, a spectacular multi-award winning performance by the KTO Theatre will be shown.
