Young Hungarians begin Tesla movement to bring gigafactory to Hungary

The Hungarian engineers claim that this would not only create 17,000 jobs but would be an important opportunity for young Hungarian engineers, programmers and IT workers to gain experience

Two, young Hungarian engineers have launched a movement to convince Elon Musk to bring his Tesla gigafactory power stations to Hungary.

Musk claims that 100 gigafactories could power the entire world. Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Estonia and Czech Republic are also in the running for hosting the gigafactory in Europe.

László Kar and Ákos Kőműves have created a Facebook group in order to educate Hungarians on the potential that this could bring to the country.

Other countries’ civic groups are also championing the cause, in Portugal there are 50.000 members in a Facebook group supporting the initiative, and in Estonia a group of gamers built a virtual gigafactory in Minecraft to demonstrate their commitment.

The Hungarian engineers claim that this would not only create 17,000 jobs but would be an important opportunity for young Hungarian engineers, programmers and IT workers to gain experience. On another note, Hungary would also become a regional center of invention, and a research and development hub.
