Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has died of a heart attack at the age of 99.
The socialite emigrated to the United States during World War Two, and became famous for having nine husbands and a glittering film career. She passed away surrounded by family and friends at her Bel-Air home in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Gabor starred in more than 70 films but was better known for dating a string of wealthy men, including Conrad Hilton, from the Hitlon hotel dynasty, and the couple had a daughter together, Francesca Hilton.
Her husband, Frederic von Anhalt spoke of her death last night. "Everybody was there. She didn't die alone," he said.
The actress kept her Hungarian accent and would address everybody as 'dahlink' so she didn't have to remember their names.
The timing of her death is particularly sad because she would have turned 100 years of age in just two months time, in February. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
