Last night, we saw what we feared would happen: Iran attacked Israel with drones and missiles. We condemn the attack. The attack, however, threatens to devastate the entire Middle East with an interstate war, and that is a threat —a grave threat —to the entire world, including Hungary. Today I convened the Defense Council to take stock of the conflict’s national security and economic consequences for Hungary. I have instructed the Interior Minister and the heads of the counter-terrorism services to guarantee the security of Hungarians by all means available. On Tuesday, I will travel to Brussels to review the war situation with European leaders. We must do all we can to ensure that the wars in the world do not threaten the peace and security of Hungarian families.
