Ambassador Cornstein said Hungary and the central European region “all of a sudden … became very, very attractive”.
“My view of this country first of all, I think it’s one of the best-kept secrets in Europe," US Ambassador to Hungary, David B. Cornstein has said.
Following talks with David B. Cornstein, the US Ambassador to Hungary, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said there are a number of schemes available to Hungarian firms that can help them break into the US market.
While there have been highs and lows in U.S.-Hungary relations over the past few years, said the prime minister, these times are good, and the United States, he added with emphasis on the NATO relationship, “can count on us in the fight for our common values, whether it be in the meeting rooms or on the battlefields.”
US ambassador to Hungary David Cornstein said the Prime Minister is a partner and friend and the same can be said about the ties between the two countries.
“Parliament’s approval of the new Defense Cooperation Agreement between the United States and Hungary is a win for both of our countries,” David Cornstein said.

Ambassador Cornstein also highlighted Hungary’s low corporate tax rate and the government’s measures to encourage business activity
“Over the last two months I have had extremely positive experiences here,” said US Ambassador David B. Cornstein earlier today in an interview with the Jewish magazine Szombat. “Had I witnessed that the freedom of any individual or institution was put in danger, I’d be the first one to raise concerns,” he added.
