The foreign minister called the move another important step in the two countries’ improving bilateral relations since their restoration of diplomatic ties a year and a half ago.
Economic cooperation is expected to develop apace between Hungary and Armenia in the coming period, especially in the areas of energy and tourism.
Diplomatic ties with Armenia were re-established in 2022, and Khachaturyan is the second Armenian president to visit Hungary.
Minister Szijjártó noted that diplomatic relations between the two countries were broken off over ten years ago.
