Minister Szijjártó welcomed the fact that it was once again confirmed that the US administration considered the Hungarian government a friend, and considered developing bilateral relations important.
Minister Szijjártó said Marco Rubio had insisted that peace talks had offered the only realistic chance for bringing an end to the killing.

Minister Szijjártó reaffirmed Hungary’s support for North Macedonia’s EU accession, saying that the two countries have signed an action plan on knowledge-sharing on the accession process.

After isolating Europe from the Chinese economy, the von der Leyen Commission has isolated it from the American economy, too, Minister Szijjártó said.
The foreign minister said the opportunity for peace to return to central Europe was now closer than ever.
Minister Szijjártó said "mankind lives in an age of peril" as armed conflicts became more frequent and more violent.
"The longer the war goes on and the more weapons there are, the more people will die," Minister Szijjártó said.
Minister Szijjártó said the bloc's policy regarding the war in Ukraine "has failed miserably in the past years".
