The motion was passed with 222 votes in favor, 25 against and no abstentions.
The amendment was passed with 128 votes in favor and 57 against.
The law which authorizes the government to extend related decrees by 90 days was passed with 133 votes in favor, 55 against and one abstention.
Hungary’s six constitutional types of special legal order which have defined a state of emergency are to be narrowed down to three: a state of war, a state of emergency and a state of danger.
The Fundamental Law of Hungary now protects families and children in a unique way, even in Europe. The amendment adopted today by the National Assembly provides all children with an education and upbringing based on the values of Hungary’s culture and guarantees the undisturbed development of the child according to his or her sex at birth.
Csaba Dömötör said in a video that the special legal order needed to be reintroduced because the virus was spreading widely across Europe.

Today, the government reviewed the epidemic situation in both Hungary and other European countries and decided further restrictions are now necessary.
