Hungary will continue to have irreconcilable differences with “pro-migration governments” because it will “not give in”, Hungary's foreign minister has said.
Péter Szijjártó, minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, made the remakrs during an interview published in Magyar Hírlap on Monday.
The minister said that the main reason for international disputes is that there are “pro-migration” governments in Europe and the Hungarian government has made it clear that it will not allow illegal migrants to enter Hungary and will focus on security.
Minister Szijjártó said that this irreconcilable difference will remain because Hungary will not back off and those on the opposite side will most probably not say that Hungary was right.
The minister expects criticism for instance in connection with the upcoming elections in Germany and Austria because the nominees will try to involve Hungary in their campaigns, he said.
