Facebook statement by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán

This is the tenth day of the flood defence operations. Sunday morning, Kisapostag. This year’s flood wave reached its highest point a few hours ago. The immediate defence efforts have been successful, and now all we have to do is watch out for the occasional accident during the downstream flow, but there are patrols and flood watches everywhere. We have the disaster management and water management personnel – and for the first time ever the water management directorate is headed by a lady.  This is her baptism of fire. We wish her good luck!
