The prime minister said that compared with the flood of 2013, the Hungarian state was now "more effective, more organized and better prepared".
All post-flood sites are being disinfected according to detailed guidelines provided to local authorities by the National Public Health Centre.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán provided detailed updates on Hungary’s ongoing flood defense efforts, confirming that the flood peak is expected at Mohács today.
The prime minister said the flood peak on the Danube could leave Hungary on Tuesday, but vigilance must be maintained.
The Danube is receding quicker on its upper sections than anticipated, the prime minister said, adding that the pressure on the country was now easing.
