Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó dismissed the accusations of Hungary not being a democratic country.
He also highlighted the irony of being challenged on the right to debate when attempting to engage in debate with others. The foreign minister said they do not judge or criticize others for holding different positions, as diversity of opinion is natural. He also condemned the anti-democratic nature of certain actors who are trying to silence the voice of the Hungarian people.
